The water dispenser and the line behind it
On models with water at the door or inside the cabinet, the same supply that feeds the ice maker also feeds a chilled-water reservoir, a dispenser valve and a switch. A dispenser that drips, pours slowly or gives nothing usually comes down to air in the line after a filter change, a filter that is spent, or low pressure at the house, and less often to the valve or the switch. The line is checked from the shutoff forward, like any other water fault.

The visit
A warm fresh-food side is an airflow question before it is a cooling question, because on these cabinets the cold arrives from the freezer through a duct. So we put our own probe in each compartment and compare it with what the display claims, listen to and then measure the evaporator fan, look for ice sitting across the duct or the coil behind the rear panel, and drive a defrost cycle by hand to watch what actually warms. The condenser gets a look on the same trip, and each door is paper-tested along all four edges.
Whatever those readings say gets written down and explained before a price exists, and the price is one number covering the part and the labour. If the readings send the job to the sealed system it goes under gauges by an EPA 608 certified technician, and you hear that before it happens, not after.
